The Bird Palace

Wallace checking out the new digs. Holes in the walls have since been covered.
He'll move back in there once the Iggle is gone, with various perches so he can keep his damaged wing in shape until the feathers re-grow.

Do eagles have tonsils??

Did you say food?

Weekend Adventure

This was about the size of a laundry basket...

Many of the rocks had crystal pockets, most tiny (this one was a couple of inches across) and almost all contained soft white fibres (click on the photo to see it enlarged), rather like long fibred fibreglass. Any idea what it is??

101st Hospital Day Parade

Note the hubcap halo!

Christmas??

"Pirates fighting global climate change. Aaarrah!" I thought it was the best "float." The boat is a beautiful hand made model which the couple take rowing all over the place. Two of the Maude Is. girls were the "rowers".

Flowers & Store

The store (click on it to see detail.) It and Manzanita and I are mentioned in this weeks paper.

It's a pity I can't add smell to this - Essence of Hawthorne is lovely!

The lasted addition to the mural; the web address.

Catching Up

I decided I'd better get my Spring photos "up" before summer arrives! (And I haven't a clue why that is underlined or how to get rid of it...) The first wild roses were blooming this morning, each one packed with little flies.

The dandelions have gone to fluff already.

Yesterday I found 2 chocolate lilies in the little meadow along the creek behind the cemetery.

Beach peas.

It is a good year for columbines.

Bluebells in my garden.
